Job summary

Duke Energy is offering a Telecommunications Internship for currently enrolled college students to gain hands-on experience in telecom delivery and support within the Enterprise Technology and Security organization.

Interns will learn through site visits, information sessions, and networking events with senior leadership while contributing to team goals and refining technical and professional skills during a 10–12 week summer program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's or bachelor's IT or Engineering related degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
• GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Must not graduate before August 2027

Responsibilities

• Selected candidate(s) will gain exposure to cellular engineering and support
• Hands‑on experience to learn more about modem communications technology and carrier service activations and deactivations
• Assist with basic support and troubleshooting
• Assist team with special projects
