Job summary

Duke Energy invites enrolled college students to participate in the Telecommunications Internship, designed to bring passion, skills and an innovative mindset to the energy sector. Interns will gain on‑the‑job experience in Telecom Delivery and support, with site visits and information sessions across multiple locations.

Throughout the 10–12 week program, interns will learn about Enterprise Technology and Security and engage with senior leadership and peers to develop professionally.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's or bachelor's IT or Engineering related degree program such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Must not graduate before August 2027

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to cellular engineering and support
• Hands-on experience with modem communications technology and carrier service activations/deactivations
• Assist with basic support and troubleshooting
• Assist team with special projects
