TelCom Construction, LLC, in Marion, IA, seeks a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to run HDD rigs for installing underground conduit and fiber optic cables without open trenches. You will manage bore paths, perform site setup, and operate equipment across weather conditions to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and relevant drilling experience. Training and safety programs are provided while you work in a team-driven, safety-focused

At TelCom Construction, LLC, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you will run Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) rigs to install underground conduit and fiber optic cables without digging open trenches. You will run highly specialized machine to ensure communication lines can be laid underneath roads, sidewalks, and landscaped areas without disrupting the surface.

What you'll do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes
• All offers are contingent on successfully passing a background and drug test test

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
