Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Drill Bores Operator in the Springfield, MO area. You will operate drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include determining bore paths, locating utilities, and maintaining bore schedules, with site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance. Requires driving legally and proficiency with drilling gear; CDL preferred and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• CDL licence with tanker endorsement is preferred
• Minimum age 18 years
• Experience with drilling equipment and bore path concepts

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site setup, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

• Determine bore path and locate utilities
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks

What You’ll Need

• Valid Driver\'s License is REQUIRED for this position
• Class A CDL is preferred
• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver\'s license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Valid Class A Commercial driver\'s license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
