Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Boston is seeking a Telecom Design Engineer to lead technology infrastructure projects for our MEP/FP and telecom systems. You will define requirements, coordinate with architects and construction teams, and develop Basis of Design documents and specifications.

The role requires 10+ years in design, budgeting, programming, and engineering of tech infrastructure; experience with LAN/WAN, servers, and storage. Revit or AutoCAD are a plus, as is AV/security know-how.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing technology infrastructure systems.
• Experience budgeting, programming and engineering of tech infra.
• Strong project management across large projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and document technology infrastructure requirements; prepare Basis of Design documents, construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Lead coordination of the technology scope with architects, engineers and construction teams.
• Track milestones, manage design reviews and address coordination issues for cabling, AV and security systems.
• Perform other related duties to support project outcomes.
