Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Boston, MA office on a hybrid schedule. You will lead electrical design for complex building projects, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with architects and other disciplines to ensure integrated systems.

You will contribute across all project phases, from conceptual reports to construction administration, with responsibility for power, lighting, and safety systems and ongoing QA/QC. PE preferred and Revit experience desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Revit knowledge is a plus.
• PE license highly preferred.
• 12+ years of building systems design experience.
• Experience across all project phases from concept to construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on a variety of complex projects including office, labs, data centers, and hospitals.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with Architect, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Coordinate design with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Produce power distribution, lighting, and standby power designs compliant with NEC codes.
• Develop and review drawings, load calculations, and equipment specifications.
• Lead project electrical team and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Participate in client meetings to review drawings with Owners and Architects.
• Support Construction Administration tasks such as field visits and RFIs.
