Job summary

M.C. Dean in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Mission Critical Telecommunications Engineer 2 to design, coordinate and implement telecom structured cabling for high-density AI data centers. The engineer will produce constructible deliverables and coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines to ensure robust, compliant installations.

The role requires experience with AutoCAD or REVIT, BIM coordination, and knowledge of NFPA and TIA standards; travel may be required as part of project duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in telecommunications structured cabling including inside and outside plant.
• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field.
• Detail-oriented, motivated, self-starter; able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willing to expand knowledge base to new systems and technologies as project demand dictates.
• Basic understanding of TIA standards and NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, identify, coordinate, and track project requirements.
• Coordinate communication connectivity requirements across stakeholders and systems.
• Coordinate telecommunication space plans with consideration for Architecture, MEP, and Electronic Systems.
• Coordinate detailed telecommunications pathway designs including BIM and fill calculations.
• Produce coordinated detailed design and construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT.
• Create and manage cable run lists and system labeling.
• Create and manage cable acceptance test plans based on specification requirements.
• Identify products and develop Bill of Materials meeting project requirements.
