Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Mission Critical Telecommunications Engineer 2 to design, coordinate, and implement telecommunication cabling systems for AI-driven data centers. The role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, development of constructible engineering deliverables, and oversight across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in the telecommunications structured cabling industry, including inside and outside plant pathways, cabling, components, testing, and design.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of TIA standards and NFPA codes; willing to expand knowledge with project demands.
• Must pass extensive background check; up to 10% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate project requirements across stakeholders (Data/Wireless Networking, AV, Security, MEP).
• Create detailed telecommunications space plans with Architecture, MEP, and Electronic Systems in mind.
• Design detailed telecom pathways and BIM-related deliverables; manage cabling layouts and device locations.
• Produce construction drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT and prepare telecom specifications.
• Develop Cable Run Lists, material BOMs, and acceptance test plans per project criteria.
• Support QA processes to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and standards.
