Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Telecommunications BIM Designer to work on projects enabling advanced facilities, including semiconductor manufacturing. You will document telecom design, expand BIM skills, and collaborate with a team under telecom discipline leads, leveraging Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to meet client BIM standards.

The role is hybrid and geographically flexible within the U.S., with a base in Jacobs' telecom design team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of Revit BIM design experience.
• Proficiency with NavisWorks.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and construction industry.
• Understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• Understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided markups and/or verbal direction requests.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, modeling and documentation services for telecom design projects.
• Document telecom design under discipline leads and adhere to Jacobs and client BIM standards.
• Leverage Revit proficiency to support project deliverables.
