Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial II in Sherwood, OR to support the Aerial Telecom Crew by ensuring materials and equipment are readily available. You will help install and maintain fiber and telecom cables while following safety practices and DOT guidelines.

The role requires 0–3 years of labor experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to become certified as a pole climber.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to become a certified pole climber.
• 0–3 years of labor experience, preferably in telecommunications.
• Able to work safely solo and in teams.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Able to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment under the direction of the crew leader.
• Ensure door-tag notifications and resident alerts for construction activities are completed before work begins each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Perform manual excavation and minor repairs with the use of shovels and mechanical tools as required.
• Direct and flag traffic flow according to local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
