Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform telephone triage and direct comprehensive nursing care in a call-center environment in North Carolina. The role involves educating patients and families and coordinating care with physicians and managed care teams.

The ideal candidate will have an active NC RN license (SC license may be needed for certain clients) and a BSN is preferred. BLS certification is required, with experience in pediatrics and ED triage considered a plus.

Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license; SC license may be required for some clients.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage with diverse patient population.
• Assess needed care and collaborate with patients and others to provide clinical solutions.
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
• Actively participate in team conferences and assess patient education needs.
• Notify each practice, physician, and/or managed care client of all encounters with patients, parents or managed care clients before office opening.
• Notifies designated leadership of operational concerns.
