Atrium Health Specialty Network, Inc is seeking a registered nurse to perform telephone triage, assess care needs, and provide patient and family education. The role requires leading nursing assessments in a nontraditional environment and collaborating with care teams.

The nurse will communicate encounters to practice leadership and participate in team conferences, ensuring timely education and clinical solutions while maintaining high standards of safety and care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina is required.
• Must apply for and maintain a South Carolina RN license and any other RN licenses for client states.
• Experience in telephone triage, pediatrics and ED triage is desired.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs telephone triage with diverse patient population.
• Assesses needed care and collaborates with patients and others to provide clinical solutions.
• Provides comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
• Actively participates in team conferences and helps assess patient education needs.
• Notifies each practice, physician, and/or managed care client of all encounters with patients, parents or managed care clients regardless of follow-up needs before office opening.
• Notifies designated leadership of operational concerns.
