Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Teen Coordinator to lead and implement teen programs across the Ridgewood branch. You will supervise travel, support staff, and ensure program quality during school-year and summer sessions.

Under the Youth & Family Director, you will manage outreach, recruitment, partnerships with local schools, and program evaluation to drive continuous improvement. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred, and a strong, inclusive leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with teens/youth and planning activities.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of teens in the program through close supervision of activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement program registration, programming, workshops, and events with support from Teen Advisors.
• Directly facilitate teen programming when a Teen Advisor position is vacant.
• Support social emotional learning and skill development in programming.
• Assist in marketing and distribution of program information and compile program statistics.
• Help develop, implement, and monitor the program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Establish links with service providers, schools, and partner organizations.
