Job summary

The Greenpoint YMCA in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Teen Coordinator to lead and manage teen programs under the Youth & Family Director. This Part‑Time/Regular role includes staff supervision, program development, outreach, recruitment, and building partnerships with local schools.

Programs include Y Saturday Night Lights, Y Scholars, Teens Take the City, and more. A High School Diploma is required; 2+ years with teens; 21+; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Education or Social Work is desirable.
• Minimum two years of experience working with teens/youth and planning activities.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; CPR, First Aid, AED certifications preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership, comfortable with multicultural youth and adults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of teens in the program with close supervision.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement teen programming and events with support from part‑time Teen Advisors.
• Supervise staff scheduling and data entry in program systems; coordinate paperwork and surveys.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community providers to expand program reach.
• Monitor program impact and participate in branch fundraising and outreach activities.
