Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York seeks a Teen Coordinator at the Ridgewood YMCA in Queens, NY. You will supervise teen programs, coordinate registrations, and collaborate with Youth & Family leadership to build engaging activities during the school year, after school, and Saturday evenings.

Responsibilities include staff management, program development, outreach, recruitment, and partnerships with local schools. A focus on SEL and youth development drives daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Education or Social Work is desirable.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with teens/youth and planning activities.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; CPR/First Aid/AED certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement teen programs at the Ridgewood branch.
• Coordinate registration, workshops, and events with support from Teen Advisors.
• Manage program data entry and client paperwork per city and YMCA standards.
• Ensure Social Emotional Learning and skill development in all activities.
• Support staff scheduling and liaison with youth services and partners.
