Job summary

The Russell County Public Library is seeking a part-time Teen Services Assistant to join our Program Team and help make RCPL a place where teens belong.

Responsibilities include planning and leading a regular schedule of teen programs, supporting our Teen Advisory Board, and promoting the teen collection through displays and reading recommendations. Primarily weekday afternoons, with occasional evenings and Saturdays. Start date as early as November 2, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to work afternoons, weekends, and school breaks.
• Strong computer skills and clear written and spoken communication are required.
• Experience working with teens, leading programs, or in customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead a regular schedule of teen programs.
• Support the Teen Advisory Board.
• Visit middle and high schools and host field trips with the Program Team.
• Promote the teen collection through displays and reading recommendations.
• Represent the library at community events.
