Job summary

Qualifications

• Less than a High School diploma; less than 1 year customer service, office support, recreation program implementation or related experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and delivery of teen programs, camps, after-school activities, workshops, and special events
• Engage directly with teen participants to promote inclusion, build rapport, and create a positive, safe, and supportive environment
• Support the supervision of program participants during activities, field trips, and community events, ensuring adherence to safety and behavior expectations
• Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and enthusiasm in all interactions with youth
• Assist in developing and implementing new programs that reflect current teen interests, community trends, and departmental goals
