Job summary

Boys And Girls Clubs Of Thurston County is seeking a Teen Coordinator to develop and run engaging programs for middle and high school students in the Olympia area. You will recruit participants, mentor youth, and collaborate with staff and partners to create empowering experiences.

The role requires leadership in a busy youth-centered environment, with CPR/First Aid certification and background checks. Evening hours and after-school coverage are common, with flexible scheduling during school

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, parents/guardians or partners.
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to de-escalate problems and solve day-to-day issues.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, marketing and delivery of teen programs.
• Plan activities for grades 6-12 within Academic Success and Healthy Lifestyles.
• Deliver age-appropriate programs and supervise to ensure safety.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, staff and visitors.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
• Assume additional tasks as needed.
