Job summary

Boys And Girls Clubs Of Thurston County is seeking a Teen Engagement Specialist to plan, market, and deliver engaging programs for teens in our community. The role includes mentoring youth, coordinating with staff and parents, and ensuring a safe, energetic Club environment.

Responsibilities focus on grades 6–12 activities, with potential elementary coverage. CPR/First Aid, background checks, and strong communication are essential for success in a fast-paced, youth-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working with youth, parents/guardians, and/or community partners.
• Ability to work in a busy, high-energy, kid-centric environment.
• Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications; background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, marketing, and delivery of educational and recreational programming for Club members.
• Plan and implement programs for grades 6–12 within Academic Success and Healthy Lifestyles areas.
• Provide mentorship and support to teens and promote a safe, positive environment.
• Recruit participants through outreach efforts and maintain relationships with parents, staff, and visitors.
