Job summary

The Teen Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA) supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs that help teens succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This role works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to create a safe, engaging environment where teens can grow in leadership and confidence.

Typical schedule runs after school and summers, with hours around 12:00 PM–8:00 PM during the school year and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families.
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Utilize trauma-informed and restorative practices when working with youth.
• Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
• Maintain program documentation and case notes.
• Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to promote programming.
