Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica is seeking a Teen Specialist, Youth Development Professional to plan and supervise high‑yield activities for teens (ages 13–18). The role focuses on academic, character & leadership development and career exploration, with responsibilities spanning mentoring, curriculum planning, and program administration.

You will work Mon–Fri 12 p.m.–7 p.m., 15–29 hours per week during the school year, with summer hours depending on enrollment.

Qualifications

• Must work Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.; 15–29 hours per week during the school year.
• At least 48 credit hours, or an AA, or a BA; CBEST requirements and certification documentation.
• Two years of experience with youth (13–18), preferably in a Boys & Girls Club or similar setting.
• Experience facilitating programs and mentoring youth; maintaining case files is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise program activities, modeling effective group management and youth engagement.
• Assist in curriculum development, lesson planning, and program calendars; support YDPs with prep and data collection.
• Maintain accurate case files, track progress, and update youth development plans.
• Plan and promote leadership training, sports leagues, and enrichment events; recruit members.
