Job summary

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania (BGCWPA) is seeking a Teen Development Professional to plan, coordinate, and implement programs that help teens succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

This role partners with youth, families, schools, and community partners to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can develop leadership, life, and workforce readiness skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.
• Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and families.
• Create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
• Utilize trauma-informed and restorative practices when working with youth.
• Track attendance, participation, and program outcomes.
• Maintain program documentation and case notes.
• Support recruitment, outreach, and community engagement efforts.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to promote programming.
