Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles is seeking a Youth Development Professional (Fine Arts Focus) for the Watts Willowbrook Club in Los Angeles, CA. You will plan and implement teen arts programs, supervise members, and promote creative expression in a safe, inclusive setting.

The role emphasizes mentorship, youth development, and collaboration with staff and volunteers, with hours that may include evenings and school breaks to align with teen engagement and events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; minimum two years of college coursework preferred.
• Experience working with elementary, middle and high school youth and knowledge of youth development principles.
• Formal training and/or hands-on experience teaching or facilitating arts-based programming for teens.
• Demonstrated interest or background in arts, fine arts, or creative instruction for adolescents.

Responsabilités

• Plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates teen-focused arts and fine arts programs.
• Designs and facilitates engaging arts experiences for teens, including visual arts and performing arts.
• Creates a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
• Maintains records related to teen attendance, participation, and outcomes.
• Supervises and supports volunteers and program assistants.
• Participates in staff meetings and community outreach as needed.
