8VC in San Francisco is seeking an IT System Administrator to join our TechOps team, balancing hands-on user support with strategic IT projects. The role requires a can-do attitude and strong ownership in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage day-to-day IT operations, provide end-user support, handle software and licenses, and create training materials and knowledge base articles to empower colleagues and enable self‑service support.

Qualifications

• Excellent Customer Service and communication skills.
• Experience with Okta administration and automation.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace/MS365 administration.
• Familiarity with MDM administration and zero-touch deployment.
• Strong network administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Prior experience in SaaS operations management.
• Proficiency in supporting both Mac and Windows systems.

Responsibilities

• IT Systems Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of IT systems and infrastructure to ensure smooth operations across the organization.
• End-User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new devices, and assisting with IT-related inquiries.
• Software and Application Management: Install, configure, and maintain software applications and licenses, including productivity tools, collaboration platforms, and business applications, to support the needs of the organization.
• IT Training and Documentation: Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and procedures, as well as develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles to facilitate self-service support.
