The Connor Group in Miamisburg, OH is hiring a Network Engineer to support internet, wireless, firewall, and network connectivity across the central office and more than 50 apartment communities.
The role emphasizes troubleshooting, learning, and traveling roughly 2–4 days per month. We value curiosity, dependability, clear communication, and a willingness to go beyond a narrow job description to help the business succeed.
The Network Engineer supports the technology systems that keep our business operating at the Central Support Office and across more than 50 apartment communities. Networking is the primary focus, but this is not a narrow technical role. The right person must be willing to troubleshoot, learn, travel, and help solve technology problems wherever they exist.
We are hiring for culture first and skillset second. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for technology, strong work ethic, curiosity, and the desire to become a better professional. Technical skills matter, but ownership, dependability, communication, and willingness to learn are what will determine long-term success.
This role is built for someone who enjoys solving problems and wants more than a basic support job. We are especially interested in candidates who have spent 1-2 years in a Managed Service Provider environment, have been exposed to many different technologies, and feel ready for a bigger challenge. The best fit is a jack-of-all-trades technology professional who is hungry, dependable, and willing to work hard to grow. They do not need to know everything on day one, but they must be curious, accountable, and comfortable figuring things out.
The Network Engineer helps maintain reliable internet, wireless, firewall, and network connectivity across the organization. This includes troubleshooting outages, improving reliability, supporting new projects, working with vendors, documenting standards, and helping prevent repeat issues. The role also supports broader technology infrastructure when needed. A candidate with MSP experience is attractive because they are often used to moving quickly, handling different systems, supporting different users, and solving unfamiliar problems without needing perfect instructions.
