Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Program Specialist in the Office of Technology Commercialization. The role supports administration of invention reporting, license compliance, and government reporting while coordinating with the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Responsibilities include maintaining compliance documentation, managing daily inbox operations, and developing automation to improve reporting efficiency across BLUE and iEdison systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
• Equivalent training such as paralegal certification may be substituted for experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply OTC policies for managing activities in technology commercialization.
• Complete material transfer/confidentiality agreements, monitor license compliance, process transactions, and manage government reporting.
• Maintain the technology transfer database and coordinate compliance scheduling and reporting.
• Serve as primary contact for grant verification with the Office of Sponsored Programs.
• Develop and implement automation of reporting tasks to increase efficiency and reduce redundancy.
