Job summary

The Licensing Assistant at the University of New Hampshire supports the technology transfer team by maintaining comprehensive IP and agreement records, preparing reports, and coordinating documentation across invention disclosures, patent activity, and licensing workflows.

Key duties include data entry in Sophia, generating routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring deadlines are met, and assisting with compliance and communications with licensees and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with related administrative, database, compliance, legal, research administration, finance, or customer-service experience.
• Experience with technology transfer or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain invention, intellectual property, agreement, contact, and related records in Sophia and other systems.
• Prepare government and sponsor reporting, including iEdison records and supporting documentation.
• Manage compliance calendars, deliverables, and documentation for licenses/agreements.
• Coordinate workflow and documentation across invention disclosures, patents, and licensing.
• Provide team and operational support and assist in training and process improvement.
