Job summary

Pennsylvania State University’s Office of Technology Transfer seeks a Compliance Specialist to oversee all financial and compliance activities related to licensing agreements for Penn State technologies. The role reports to the Associate Director of the Office of Technology Management and collaborates with GC, Investment Management, Accounting Operations, Research Accounting, and Sponsored Programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience for Advanced Professional; 1+ year for Intermediate Professional.
• Proven ability to manage confidential information and work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor more than 200 license agreements and related compliance items.
• Coordinate with Technology Licensing Officers to ensure compliance with terms (royalties, reporting, milestones).
• Maintain accuracy of OTT's finance and compliance database.
• Read and summarize license/option agreements for compliance monitoring.
• Act as a point of contact for licensees and internal stakeholders on compliance issues.
• Develop reports on finance and compliance activity for leadership.
• Support accounts receivable minimization with accounting staff.
