You will handle high-impact IP and commercial technology deals for global clients, focusing on licensing, development, services, distribution, and strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of IP and commercial transactions experience, California Bar admission, and a strong technical background.
Qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
- California Bar admission in good standing.
- 3–6 years of IP and commercial transactions experience in a law firm.
- Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating IP and technology-related agreements.
- Experience with IP aspects of M&A and equity financing.
- Interest in AI is advantageous.
- Technical background preferred (science degree or tech work).
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology and IP agreements including licensing, development, services, distribution, and collaborations.
- Provide IP diligence and strategic counseling in connection with M&A, equity financing, e-commerce, media, and entertainment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address IP risks and strategy.
- Advise clients on structuring commercial transactions aligned with business models and tech trends.
- Work directly with clients to understand business objectives and craft tailored legal solutions.
- Contribute to team development and client growth initiatives.
