Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Training Specialist to identify user training needs and design instructional content for OD applications. You will deliver training sessions, develop agendas and materials, and coordinate with OD Technology and service centers to ensure effective learning.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of training experience with software applications, including Camtasia and Salesforce CRM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of training experience with custom developed and off-the-shelf applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and eLearning tools (Camtasia).
• Experience with document creation tools such as Affinity; Salesforce CRM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist, support and coordinate with OD Technology staff in identifying the training needs of OD users.
• Interact with the OD Technology team to design course content related to applications.
• Prepare easy to understand training material including class agenda, instructional material, and training aids.
• Conduct training classes for OD users on applications provided by OD Technology.
• Communicate with departments and service center management to schedule training.
• Monitor training sessions and trainees to ensure effectiveness.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout the course life cycle.
• Coordinate with other internal training groups to maximize scheduling and effectiveness.
• Some communication with external customers to demo OD products.
