Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist to identify training needs for OD users and develop course content for applications provided by OD Technology.

You will interact with the OD Technology team to design engaging training materials and deliver instruction to staff. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of training experience with software applications, along with strong communication, presentation, and collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of training experience with custom developed and off-the-shelf applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with eLearning instructional design tools such as Camtasia.
• Proficiency with document creation tools such as Affinity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Salesforce CRM experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs for OD users and coordinate with OD Technology staff.
• Design course content related to applications.
• Prepare training materials and agendas.
• Conduct training classes for OD users on applications provided by OD Technology.
• Schedule training with departments and service center management.
• Monitor training sessions and trainees to ensure effectiveness.
• Ensure quality and consistency of course content throughout the life cycle.
• Coordinate with internal training groups to maximize scheduling and effectiveness.
• Demo OD products to external customers.
