Be the Technology Backbone of OurTransportation Team! Do you love problem-solving,keeping systems running smoothly, and helpingpeople succeed through technology? As a Technology Systems Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Transportation Departmentby managing and improving the technologysystems that keep our operations moving.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Move Technology Forward: Supporttechnology projects from research andplanning through implementation and deployment.
- Keep Systems Running: Maintain, repair,and upgrade computers, software,hardware, and operating systems for localand remote users.
- Provide Tech Support & Training: Troubleshoot hardware, software, network,VPN, and VoIP issues, and deliver clear,effective technology training.
- Manage Technology Assets: Purchase,inventory, and track equipment whiledocumenting support and repair history.
- Support Daily Operations: Perform routine system checks and updates and serve as a key liaison between staff and management on technology needs.
SKILLS TO WOW US:
- You’re tech-savvy: You understand computerhardware, software, and networkingfundamentals.
- You know your networks: You’re comfortablewith TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and Active Directory.
- You manage systems with confidence: You haveexperience with Windows Server/Desktop OS,VoIP, and virtualized environments.
- You’re organized and proactive: You’re aself-starter with strong problem-solving andtime-management skills.
- You work well independently and with others: You collaborate effectively while managing your own responsibilities.
- You communicate professionally: You interactclearly and courteously with staff, contractors,and participants.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: Associate degree in ComputerScience with two (2) years of related ITexperience. An equivalent combination ofeducation and experience may be considered.
- Preferred: A+ Certification and other relevantindustry certifications.
