Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a student intern to join our multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a licensed engineer. The role offers exposure to design and construction in the Commercial, Education, Health, and other markets with potential to transition to a full-time entry-level position.

Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of construction documents for electrical and related systems, reviewing shop drawings, and visiting sites to verify conditions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Navisworks or similar applications) preferred.

Responsibilities

• May design technology systems including telecommunications, security, nurse call, PA and audiovisual systems.
• Assist in preparing construction documents and basic specifications for projects.
• Support review and markup of shop drawing submittals.
• May visit job sites to verify conditions and observe progress; site visits may involve walking the site.
• Additional responsibilities as requested.
