Job summary

North American Mission Board seeks a Technology Systems Administrator to keep our technology infrastructure secure and reliable, supporting ministry missions across North America. This Tier 1-2 role blends hands-on network and server administration with excellent customer service and escalation handling.

You will monitor networks, manage patching, backups, AD, Exchange Online, and AI-assisted IT ops while prioritizing fast resolutions and excellent user support for staff and volunteers in a

Qualifications

• Net+ certification required (A+ recommended)
• 3–5 years' related experience or equivalent
• Experience with Windows Server, Windows 11, Mac OSX, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, Intune, and UniFi/networking technologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Monitor network infrastructure and server health
• Monitor Microsoft Azure network availability and scheduled maintenance
• Manage Windows Server patch management and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and remediate server/infrastructure issues
• Perform monthly system backup and recovery validation
• Administer UniFi network infrastructure across HQ and Ministry Centers
• Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and passwords
• Administer endpoints and mobile devices via Microsoft Intune
• Manage Exchange Online email, anti-spam, and virus protection
• Use AI tools (Claude Enterprise, Claude Cowork) to automate IT operations and support staff adoption
• Ensure cost-effective, efficient use of technology resources

About The Position

As a Technology Systems Administrator, you'll help keep NAMB's technology infrastructure safe, secure, and reliable — supporting the ministry's mission to share Christ, start churches, and send missionaries and volunteers. This Tier 1-2 role blends hands-on network and server administration with excellent customer service, resolving escalated support requests according to established service levels.

Network & Infrastructure Monitoring

• Monitor network infrastructure and server health
• Monitor Microsoft Azure network availability and scheduled maintenance

Server & Systems Administration

• Manage Windows Server patch management and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and remediate server/infrastructure issues
• Perform monthly system backup and recovery validation
• Administer UniFi network infrastructure across HQ and Ministry Centers

Identity & Access Management

• Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and passwords
• Administer endpoints and mobile devices via Microsoft Intune

Messaging & Security

• Manage Exchange Online email, anti-spam, and virus protection

• Use AI tools (Claude Enterprise, Claude Cowork) to automate IT operations and support staff adoption
