Ares is seeking an Associate to join the Technology Business Management team in New York. The role supports strategic planning, workforce forecasting, and executive reporting for the Technology Office.

The ideal candidate excels in Excel and PowerPoint, translating complex data into concise, decision-oriented materials for senior leaders in a fast-paced, global Technology environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in business management, strategy, or COO/business office.
• Experience supporting strategic planning, workforce/headcount planning, or executive reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills for structuring large datasets and dashboards.
• Strong PowerPoint skills for executive-ready presentations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast-paced, matrixed organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support annual and multi-year strategic planning for Technology and priorities.
• Maintain workforce/headcount analyses, including positions and hiring activity.
• Assist resource and capacity planning across Technology teams.
• Build Excel models, trackers, and dashboards turning data into insights.
• Develop high-quality executive presentations for leadership meetings.
• Apply executive storytelling to translate analysis into clear narratives.
• Coordinate business and operating reviews and action follow-through.
• Support leadership communications and town halls.
• Partner on Technology culture and engagement initiatives.
