Job summary

Ares Management seeks an Associate to join the Technology Business Management team in New York. The role supports strategic planning, workforce planning, executive reporting, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced global Technology environment.

The Associate will combine analytical rigor with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to translate data into concise narratives for senior leadership and to build executive-ready presentations and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in business management, strategy, or related roles.
• Advanced Excel skills for structuring large datasets and building models.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills to create executive-ready presentations.

Responsibilities

• Support annual and multi-year strategic planning for Technology, translating priorities into actionable plans, milestones, and reporting.
• Maintain workforce and headcount analyses, including approved positions, headcount, open roles, and hiring activity.
• Support resource and capacity planning across Technology teams and initiatives.
• Build sophisticated Excel models, trackers, and dashboards turning data into insights.
• Develop high-quality executive presentations for leadership meetings and reviews.
• Apply executive storytelling to translate analysis into clear narratives and decisions.
• Coordinate business and operating reviews, including data collection and action follow-up.
• Support leadership communications, town halls, and messaging materials.
• Partner on Technology culture and engagement initiatives across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate reporting.
• Support governance and meeting prep with ELT/SLT materials.
