Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced risk oversight professional to join the IRO organization, providing independent oversight of Technology Risk. You will partner with Enterprise Technology and business units to identify, report and mitigate technology risks and related issues in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes governance, program execution, stakeholder engagement and executive reporting to drive risk reduction and continuous improvements across technology domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
• Strong business acumen, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver high-quality work products.
• Comfort with data analysis and deriving insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight for Truist Technology and related units.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the Technology Risk Framework.
• Assess technology risk maturity and effectiveness of controls.
• Foster proactive risk culture and collaborate with technology teams.
• Review first-line-of-defense risk program outcomes and challenges.
• Monitor regulatory, compliance and audit matters for the oversight area.
• Contribute to complex programs with enterprise-wide impact.
