Job summary

Truist is seeking a senior risk professional to join the LoD2 Technology Risk team in Richmond, VA. You will provide independent risk oversight of technology domains, partner with Enterprise Technology, advise on risk topics, and challenge risk programs to protect business outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in banking, technology, operations or risk management, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of banking, technology, operations or risk management experience.
• Excellent business acumen, management experience, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity to deliver value.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and produce high-quality executive work.
• Comfort with data and applying analysis to derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight (i.e. LOD2) for Truist Technology and related units through risk identification, mitigation, monitoring and reporting.
• Serve as SME and steward of the Technology Risk Framework to identify, report and mitigate risks.
• Assess maturity of technology controls to achieve performance, stability, security and availability.
• Foster proactive risk culture through routines with technology teams and internal partners.
• Review and challenge outcomes of first-line risk program execution.
• Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance and audit matters for assigned areas.
• Lead complex projects with enterprise-level impact and provide informal leadership.
• Bridge business and IT functions, balancing advisory and implementation roles.
