Job summary

EY is offering an Assurance - Technology Risk internship for Summer 2027 in the United States, including Stamford, CT. The program provides hands-on IT risk experience, exposure to SOC, third‑party risk, and ITGC assessments within a staff framework designed for early career growth.

You will document and test IT controls, participate in planning engagements, and collaborate with client teams to understand business processes while developing professional skills in a global, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CA.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (preference 3.2+).
• Hybrid model: most client-facing roles expected to work in person 40-60% of the time.
• Interest in IT audit demonstrated by relevant coursework or internship.
• Willingness to travel and work extra hours when needed.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license recommended.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
• US citizenship required for Government & Infrastructure sector roles.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients’ business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Collaborate with engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines; assign responsibilities.
• Monitor and manage project progress and risks; keep stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Perform tasks including SOC reports, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control framework design and ITGC assessments as part of SOX/audits.
