Job summary

EY is offering an Assurance - Technology Risk internship for Summer 2027 in the United States. The program emphasizes building a foundation in IT risk, controls, and assurance, with structured experiences and coaching.

You will work with client teams to document processes and assist in risk assessments and SOC-related projects. The role requires an undergraduate or graduate degree pursuit in accounting or information systems, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and willingness to travel and be present on-site

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, or CA.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; higher preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients’ business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Plan engagements and develop work program timelines with the team.
• Monitor and manage project progress and inform stakeholders of results.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Assist with SOC reports, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control framework design and assessments of ITGCs as part of SOX.
