Job summary

Northshore School District 417 is seeking a Technology Project Support Specialist to assist the Technology Team with data collection, documentation, and basic technical support at the Bothell administration center. The role involves managing online resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting training materials delivery.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and 3 years of experience with Mac/Windows, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace, plus strong communication skills

JOB SUMMARY

This position will provide project support to the Technology Team through data collection and management, communications, documentation, materials management, and basic technical support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary in consultation with the employee(s) involved.

  • Supports the work of the Technology Team through the monitoring of work orders, maintenance of digital services, and communication with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Establishes and manages online information and communication resources, including project website, Teams space, Google and One Drive services, and online notification services.
  • Reviews existing documentation related to projects and initiatives, identifies areas in need of changes, and assists team in updating and/or creating new documentation.
  • Works with Instructional Support Team to ensure that curricular documentation aligns with technical documentation and is accessible by stakeholders.
  • Assists in development of training materials and tests existing and new materials to see how they might be improved.
  • Assists in delivery of documentation and training materials to project manager, project stakeholders, and customers.
  • Assists Technology staff to collect, process, inventory, and distribute hardware, software, and accessories as needed.
  • Participates in data collection and monitors others doing data collection to ensure accurate reporting and efficient use of time.
  • Reviews work orders related to family technology support, provides updates to the Technology staff and STSs on progress of work orders, and assists in support activities in work orders related to purchasing, deployment of materials, and movement of assets for repair or surplus.
  • Provides basic troubleshooting for issues during new systems implementation or other project implementation.
  • Participates in and provides professional development activities for users and technical staff related to Technology implementations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to the Assistant Director for Technology Support.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in an office environment; frequent interruptions; frequent exposure to visual display terminal; sit for long periods of time, on the phone, and working on a computer; manual dexterity and precision required to operate a computer; occasionally required to deal with distraught or frustrated people.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience with Mac and/or Windows operating systems, including experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications, email and calendar systems, and a variety of application software required. Experience with documentation and data collection/reporting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals, ability to perform basic troubleshooting of computers and software issues; ability to collect, organize, and report data accurately; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff, orally and in writing; ability to provide end-user training; ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change; ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders; demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills.

Licenses/Special Requirements

Ability to operate computers and learn specific software applications.

Salary:Salary is based upon the current 2025-26 NEOPA Salary Schedule (Level G); placement on the salary schedule will be determined by Human Resources DOE. FLSA Non-Exempt.

Work Year: 8.0hours per day.260 days per year.
