Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a Technology/Technical Solutions Analyst to join the Resource Center team. This 12-month, non-exempt role provides second-level technology support and maintains thorough documentation, change logs, and knowledge base to assist frontline staff and students.

The analyst will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues, coordinate with vendors as needed, and support various district locations.

Salary: Step 1: $105,977($50.76/hour) or Step 2: $108,139 ($51.79/hour) SC10 Professional-Technical Salary Schedule 26-27

SUMMARY
Serves as the district expert for the technology area(s) assigned and provides second level support to resolve issues that may arise. Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves tier two technology support issues. Investigates, troubleshoots and identifies root cause of issue, manages maintenance and replacement or expansion of assigned technology. May drive district vehicle or personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) to provide onsite support at various district locations. Contacts vendors and engages district staff for timely support. Maintains records on issues, creates check lists, documents solutions, and publishes appropriate information to helpdesk knowledge base and/or operations change logs to assist tier one support staff with problem resolution or escalation. Occasionally joins department field teams to assist with project tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Diagnose and resolve escalated issues using various methods including research, vendor contact, etc.
  • Answer voice and communication from peers and customers and provide answers and solutions to district employees, students, and parents.
  • Perform detailed record keeping and clerical tasks to maintain support tickets and issue documentation.
  • Document, update, and review electronic records and procedure documents for other tech support staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends in area of assignment and update skills accordingly.
  • May help deploy technology to schools or warehouse.
  • Follow LWSD policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Tier 2 and 3 Escalations for supporting career and technical hardware and applications.
  • Facilitates moves, adds and changes to Career and Technical installs of labs, carts, or other related CTE deployment efforts. Ensures quality of the install and that the environment is safe and accessible for students.
  • Engages with classroom teachers on excellent design and supportability for the technology in K-4 STEM spaces, CTE Spaces, and other custom technical spaces that may exist throughout schools.
  • Supporting the buildout of testing conditions for STEM ecosystems end-to-end. Ensuring the success of planned learning paths envisioned by STEM K12 Curriculum needs and learning paths.
  • Supports quality assurance for releases of Microsoft Configuration Manager software and imaging, reports testing outcomes to the engineer supporting that system.
  • For complex integrations, works with manager to draft documentation enabling successful rollouts.
