Job summary

McNees Wallace & Nurick, a prominent law firm, seeks a Director of Technology Operations to lead the daily delivery and ongoing improvement of technology services supporting attorneys and staff across multiple offices.

Reporting to the CIO, this role directs training, service desk, cloud, and infrastructure operations, shaping IT strategy and budgets while guiding organizational change and innovation. A strong leader with PKI in security and vendor management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in leadership or management.
• Experience in strategic planning, project management, and process improvement.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Service-oriented with focus on user experience.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking, virtualization, endpoint management, and information security best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and security foundations.
• Certifications such as ITIL v4 Foundation, PMP, Azure, Security+ or CISSP preferred.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology training, service desk, and cloud/infrastructure operations.
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement across IT operations.
• Partner with the CIO to set priorities, budgets, and roadmaps.
• Oversee new technology delivery, adoption, and change management.
• Manage vendors, contracts, and SLA/KPI performance.
• Define and report on KPIs and SLAs for technology operations.
• Lead workforce planning, hiring, and staff development.
• Coordinate IT with business stakeholders to meet evolving needs.
• Drive automation and AI-enabled improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure onboarding, training, and ongoing education for tech adoption.
• Oversee high-quality end-user support and ongoing IT service management improvements.
• Shape cloud infrastructure strategy, network operations, security, DR/BC, endpoint management, and compliance initiatives.
