Job summary

GE Vernova Advanced Research is seeking a Technology Manager for the Mechanical Engineering team focused on research. You will guide a world-class team developing next-generation mechanical design, inspection technologies, and advanced manufacturing methods for GE Vernova's Power, Wind, and Electrification divisions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience leading technical programs or R&D efforts in mechanical design, inspection technologies, advanced manufacturing methods, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven direct management experience leading teams of 3+ engineers or scientists, with demonstrated ability to develop talent, navigate performance, and build high-performing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the technology portfolio across GE Vernova's Power, Wind, and Electrification businesses.
• Lead early-stage technology development from concept through transition to the business units.
• Develop multi-generational technology roadmaps aligning structural mechanics and durability with product and manufacturing goals.
• Partner with Chief Engineers and Senior Scientists to align strategy across the enterprise.
