This early career Mechanical Engineering position in the Wind Engineering team lets you grow your skills as a member of the component development group, with lifecycle ownership from design to validation.

You will design mechanical parts, work with cross-functional teams, develop drawings and specifications, and support field deployments and root-cause analysis as part of a global wind

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with FEA and CAD software.
  • Ability to work in international project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design engineering solutions for mechanical structural parts (Towers, castings, forgings, fabrications and rotating component, and repair tooling/processes) of a wind turbine.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams within GE Vernova Wind to coordinate interfaces between mechanical systems and components.
  • Develop engineering drawings and specification requirements for sourcing of wind turbine components.
  • Perform technical risk assessment and execute validation test plans to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in issue resolution of mechanical components for fielded turbines.

This early career Mechanical Engineering position in Wind Engineering team allows you to grow your skills as a member of component development. The team provides full lifecycle ownership and support for mechanical hardware including New Product/Technology Introduction, Validation & Testing, Field Support and Root Cause Analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design engineering solutions for mechanical structural parts (Towers, castings, forgings, fabrications and rotating component, and repair tooling/processes) of a wind turbine.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering.
