Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree (engineering preferred) with 3+ years in high-tech biomedical licensing; an advanced degree is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in engineering; biomedical engineering preferred.
  • Advanced degree in business, law or sciences highly preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and promotes the University's IP programs, including compliance with regulations and support for technology transfer.
  • Negotiate and maintain license agreements.
  • Manage activities related to patent application filing and maintenance.
  • Maintain contact with University personnel at all levels and with external patent counsel and industry partners.
  • Provide counsel on IP matters and collaborate with researchers and legal counsel to secure IP protection.
  • Develop educational tools and trainings on IP management and technology transfer.
