University of Central Florida is seeking a Senior Licensing Associate to manage transfer of physical science technologies from the university to commercial sectors. You will oversee IP protection, negotiate licenses, and promote technologies at events and in media.

Responsibilities include drafting license agreements, evaluating new technologies, coordinating with internal and external partners, and leading outreach to industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and implementing IP license agreements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage protection and licensing of IP portfolio including patents, trademarks and copyrights.
• Draft and negotiate license and other agreements (material transfer, inter-institutional, NDA).
• Lead outreach to commercialize technologies and present at conferences.
• Coordinate IP matters with contract managers, general counsel, PIs and sponsors.
• Supervise IP staff, licensing assistants, students and interns.
• Deliver workshops and presentations on Technology Transfer and IP policies.
