Job summary

Advisors Excel seeks a Technology Experience Coach to guide independent financial advisors and staff in adopting AE’s integrated technology stack. You will become the go-to resource for understanding each platform, its uses, and integrations, delivering practical coaching that makes technology intuitive and valuable.

You will collaborate with Product Owners and internal teams to create training materials, track adoption metrics, and inform platform roadmaps, with onsite Topeka, KS.

Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry (RIA, Broker-Dealer, or related).
• Familiarity with financial services technology platforms and CRM systems (Salesforce, Wealthbox, AE Portal, etc.).
• Strong coaching, teaching, and relationship-building skills; able to simplify complex tech for advisors.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills; comfortable in virtual and in-person settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Tech Path tools; guide advisors and staff to resources and training.
• Coach on technology adoption, best practices, and customer experience improvements.
• Create and update training resources, guides, and playbooks for virtual, online, and in-person learning.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to provide feedback, test improvements, and inform roadmaps.
• Track usage/adoption metrics and develop action plans for under-utilized tools.
• Support recruiting, retention, and growth conversations by showcasing AE’s tech value.
• Coordinate with Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align coaching with firm initiatives.

Overview

The Technology Experience Coach will serve as an advisor-facing coach, helping independent financial advisors and their staff adopt and fully leverage Advisors Excel’s integrated technology stack. Coaches will develop a broad understanding of the entire Tech Path technology suite—helping advisors understand each tool’s purpose, use cases, and available integrations. This role goes beyond training—it is about proactive coaching, simplification, and creating “wow” experiences that make technology intuitive, impactful, and valuable for advisors. The Technology Experience Coach will also collaborate with Product Owners, internal partners, and external vendors to deliver best practices, resources, and ongoing support that maximize technology adoption and deliver measurable results for advisors and their businesses.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all Tech Path tools, developing and maintaining a broad understanding of each platform—including its purpose, core use cases, and integrations—and guiding advisors or connecting them with appropriate resources for deeper technical support or training.
• Proactively coach advisors and their staff on technology adoption, best practices, and strategies that enhance efficiency and client experience.
• Create, maintain, and update training resources, step-by-step guides, and playbooks for virtual, online, and in-person learning.
• Partner with Product Owners to provide advisor feedback, test improvements, and inform platform roadmaps.
• Track usage and adoption metrics; engage with offices at risk of under-utilizing tools and develop tailored action plans.
• Showcase AE’s technology value in recruiting, retention, and growth conversations with top advisor offices.
• Collaborate with AE teams across Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align coaching with firm-wide initiatives.

Experience You’ll Bring

• Experience working in the financial services industry (RIA, Broker-Dealer, or related).
• Familiarity with financial services technology platforms and CRM systems, including Salesforce, Wealthbox, Zocks, Snappy Kraken, Retirement Analyzer, AE Portal, Firelight, and Daily Business Resource; demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools.
• Strong coaching, teaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to simplify complex technology concepts for advisor audiences.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with confidence in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a solutions-focused mindset.

Bonus Points

• Experience designing and delivering onboarding, adoption, or training programs.
• Familiarity with advisor platforms such as: Orion, Nitrogen, client portals, and planning tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
