Job summary

Secretariat is seeking a Manager for our Technology Disputes practice to lead coding review on complex software matters. You will analyze code, explain its function, and draft expert reports for use in high-stakes disputes with top law firms and clients.

Ideal candidates combine deep software knowledge with clear communication, mentor junior staff, and manage multiple engagements. In-person interview required; US work authorization is essential; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or Economics with CS emphasis.
• 4+ years in software development, IT services, or code review.
• Proficient in reading and coding in major languages: C++, C#, Java, Python, SQL, HTML.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code review and analysis of existing software.
• Assess if code is unique or from open sources and what task it performs.
• Prepare memos and expert reports detailing findings clearly.
• Prepare rebuttal expert reports evaluating other experts' conclusions.
• Communicate with clients and counsel.
• Prepare testifying experts for hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements.
• Review work of junior staff.
