Job summary

Secretariat in Chicago seeks a Manager for its Technology Disputes team to lead coding review efforts, analyze software artifacts, and communicate complex technical concepts to legal stakeholders. You will work across engagements to ensure rigorous reviews and expert reporting.

The role requires strong analytical ability, experience in software development, and the capacity to lead junior staff while coordinating with clients and counsel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics with emphasis on CS from an accredited university
• 4+ years of software development, IT services, or code review experience
• Ability to read and code in common languages: C++, C#, Java, Python, SQL, HTML, etc

Responsibilities

• Conduct code review and analysis in existing software
• Analyze if code is unique or from open sources and determine intended tasks
• Prepare memos and expert reports explaining technical concepts clearly
• Prepare rebuttal expert reports evaluating others’ conclusions
• Communicate with clients and counsel
• Prepare testifying experts for hearings, trials, and mediations
• Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements
• Review work of junior staff
